Service

We should encourage service to others in the community around us.
Members, individually and collectively, should work toward the betterment of their campus and community… and in so doing contribute to the betterment of themselves.
Military Heroes Campaign

The Kappa Sigma Military Heroes Campaign is committed to supporting ongoing care for our military veterans and their families. We aggressively pursue opportunities to assist our nation's veterans with financial and organizational support to help them overcome the battles they fight every day.

The Military Heroes Campaign is solely run by the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. It is committed to providing ongoing care for military veterans and their families and was started with the idea that every veteran deserves a stable life and a community full of supporters. Kappa Sigma organizations work hard to raise the funds necessary to provide stability in military veterans' lives. Since 2007, Kappa Sigma has raised over $2 million dollars for veterans across North
America. Kappa Sigma chapters hold 5ks, golf tournaments, and many other events to raise money and awareness for this cause. Additionally, Kappa Sigma holds an annual event called Kappa Sigma Military Heroes Month. During this competition, held in the month of November, all chapters and colonies are encouraged to raise as much money as possible for the organization.

Kappa Sigma’s Military Heroes Campaign donates to organizations dedicated to the betterment of veterans’ lives such as the Seal Legacy Foundation, Veterans Moving Forward, Homes For Our Troops, and many others. This cause is important to all Kappa Sigma brothers and many chapters work hard to ensure that they are fundraising hard enough to contribute lots to these organizations.
Community Service

In Kappa Sigma we strive to give back to our community as much as possible. Whether that be through helping the incoming freshmen move into their new dorms or cleaning up the side of the highways, we will always find a way to give back. After all the community has done for us, what we do could never amount for all of it.

Our Community Service Chair is in charge of setting up all of the service events we do as a fraternity. Some of these events include clothes donations, helping freshmen move in, and helping out around the firehouse for firemen. All of our brothers love to show up and help others out during these events like these.

Our chapter at Boise State won the award for community service this year out of all chapter in the country, the Kappa Sigma Community Service Award. Also, in total our brother had 3,500 community service hours in just this spring alone. We love to see how much our members contribute and will continue to give back in the future!
